Beverly Cooper
CO-FOUNDER, BOARD MEMBER
Beverly M. Cooper is the chairman of CNB Bancorp Inc., holding company, Mobile, AL. and the retired President of the Christian Benevolent Funeral Home, a family-owned business for more than 96 years. Mrs. Cooper has over five decades of experience as an executive, a manager, a consultant and practitioner in finance, marketing, and strategic planning.
Previously, Beverly held the position of development officer with History Museum of provided executive leadership to Paymaster USA, Inc., and as the Director of Institutional Advancement and the Chief Operations Officer for the Alabama School of Mathematics.
Ms. Cooper was an executive with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey; Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association; XEROX Corporation and staff assistant, Office of the Governor, Commonwealth of Virginia; and the first Executive Director for the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO).
Beverly has served on the board of numerous local and statewide organizations including Chairman, Mobile County Department of Human Resources Board of Directors and State-wide Chairman. She previously served as President of the Mobile Area Education Foundation (MAEF); President of Mobile County Bicentennial Commission; Board Member of Leadership Alabama; Co-Chair of Yes We Can Education Reform Initiative for the MAEF; Vice Chairman, Board of Directors of the Mobile Museum of Art; U.S. Small Business Administration Advisory Council for the State of Alabama and the National Advisory Council; and member the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.
Beverly is a member of Bethel AME Church.
